Family Law Department

  • Anne-Lise Wall

    Anne-Lise is a founding partner of the firm, having qualified in 1980. She is a member of the Law Society Family Law Panel and specialises in financial issues arising on divorce or separation, together with complex children cases. She is an experienced and accredited Mediator and has trained in Collaborative Law. Anne-Lise is a member of Resolution and adopts a non-adversarial approach to resolving family disputes.

  • Anne-Marie Keady-Smith

    Anne-Marie qualified in 2002 having read Law and French at Leeds. She joined Merrony Wall in 2004 and undertakes all aspects of Family Law cases. She is also a Resolution Accredited Specialist. Anne-Marie is currently on maternity leave.

Litigation Department

  • Antony Marquis

    Antony joined the firm in 2001 having qualified in 1990. He has extensive knowledge and experience of general and commercial litigation, employment law and debt recovery together with partnership disputes and contentious probate matters. Antony is also a commercial pilot and works part time as a consultant to the firm.

    Antony is a qualified Commercial Mediator helping people resolve disputes without the costs and delays of court proceedings.

Property Department

  • Priya Patel

    Priya completed an LLB Law and European Studies degree at Surrey University in 2005, which included a six month study placement in Madrid. She has a keen interest in Spanish Law and is proficient in Spanish.  After completing her Training Contract with us Priya qualified as a Solicitor in September 2008. 

    Priya deals with buying and selling houses and flats and also deals with shared ownership schemes.  She deals with re-mortgages and transfers of equity and her practice is to foster good communication with clients, keeping them fully appraised of their transaction and reporting regularly to agents.  She understands the stress involved in moving and is very sympathetic to her clients.

Wills and Probate

  • Anne-Lise Wall heads this department and is assisted by Priya who also advises clients on Estate Planning and deals with Lasting Powers of Attorney. Priya is happy to make home visits if necessary and is a strong advocate for everyone to make a will.  She has a keen interest and affinity with the elderly and has links with a number of local Care Homes.  Priya has also achieved British Sign Language Level One.       

The Admin Team

  • Chris Austin

    Chris is the Practice Manager and Financial Controller for the firm and deals with all the accounts enquiries.

  • Julie Davies

    Julie is the firm’s legal secretary and supports the departments, helping us deliver a professional and effective service to our clients. Julie is also our receptionist dealing with telephone calls and making appointments.  She is always happy to take messages should the person called be unavailable.
